Purpose-Bred. Temperament-Tested. Perfectly Matched.

Our Program

Raised with purpose. Matched with heart.
From early neurological stimulation to temperament-based placement, every BFF Aussies puppy is raised with intention, structure, and lifelong family fit in mind.
Purpose-Bred
We raise Australian Shepherds with thoughtful pairings, strong health foundations, and long-term family suitability in mind.
Home-Raised
Puppies are raised underfoot in our home with early handling, children, everyday sounds, and real-life exposure.
Temperament-Tested
Puppies are evaluated as they grow so we can better understand confidence, drive, sensitivity, and family fit.
Perfectly Matched
We consider your lifestyle, goals, preferences, and each puppy’s individual temperament before placement.
Placement Process

The BFF Aussies Placement Journey

A thoughtful process designed to help each puppy land where they will thrive.
1
Determine Your Lifestyle
Consider your schedule, activity level, experience, home environment, and what you truly need in a companion.
2
Apply
Complete the puppy questionnaire so we can learn about your home, lifestyle, and goals.
3
Join the Active Waitlist
After approval, families complete the Puppy Preparation & Placement Plan and join the active list for consideration.
4
Meet the Litter
Around two weeks after birth, we reach out to schedule visits or video calls when puppies are about five weeks old.
5
Temperament Testing
Around 6–7 weeks, puppies are temperament tested and evaluated for suitable home types.
6
Picking Appointment
Families are contacted for picking appointments by video or in person once evaluations are complete.
7
Going Home Day
Take home your puppy with a welcome-home goody bag. Any remaining placement balance is due at this time.
8
Lifetime Support
We stay available after go-home and love connecting through updates and our puppy-owner community.
ENS & ESI

Early Development Matters

The first weeks of life are small but powerful. We use intentional early-development practices to help puppies build confidence, resilience, and curiosity.
Early Neurological Stimulation
ENS is a short daily handling routine used during the early developmental window from days 3–16. These gentle exercises introduce mild, controlled stimulation and help support early neurological development, stress tolerance, and adaptability.
Days 3–16
Gentle handling
Confidence foundation
Stress tolerance
Not a replacement for daily affection
Early Scent Introduction
ESI introduces puppies to safe, distinct scents during the same early window. Because newborn puppies rely heavily on scent before their eyes and ears fully open, this helps encourage curiosity, scent recognition, and early cognitive development.
New scent each day
Safe natural items
Curiosity building
Scent awareness
Short sessions

Why We Match by Temperament

Color and markings are easy to fall in love with, but temperament is what shapes daily life with your dog. We consider each puppy’s confidence, sensitivity, energy, drive, people-focus, and adaptability, then match those traits with the needs of each family.
What we look at
Confidence
Energy level
Recovery from new experiences
People focus
Toy/food motivation
Sensitivity
Independence
Cuddle factor
Service/therapy potential
Family fit
Preferences matter, but the right match matters more.
