Meet Jordan, the passionate owner of BFF Aussies. With over 8 years of experience as a veterinary technician, Jordan brings a strong foundation of animal care, medical knowledge, and hands-on experience to the program.
Jordan’s background includes working with animals of all sizes, personalities, and needs. Her experience supports everything from daily care and puppy development to health monitoring, early socialization, and responsible breeding decisions.
At BFF Aussies, Jordan is especially passionate about early puppy development — both mentally and physically — helping each puppy build confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation before going home.
BFF Aussies is more than a breeding program. It is a place where every dog is cherished, every puppy’s potential is nurtured, and every family match is taken seriously.

About Australian Shepherds

Loyal, intelligent, athletic, and deeply connected to their people.
The Australian Shepherd is one of the most versatile, intelligent, and loyal dog breeds in the world. Despite the name, the Australian Shepherd was developed in the United States, where the breed became an essential partner to ranchers, farmers, and livestock handlers throughout the American West.
Known for athleticism, trainability, and devotion to their families, Aussies were bred to work closely alongside people. Their strong desire to please, natural intelligence, and work ethic made them favorites among stockmen, horsemen, active families, and dog sport enthusiasts.

A Breed Built for Partnership

1800s
Herding dogs arrived in America alongside flocks of sheep, including sheep and shepherds associated with Australia — which helped inspire the breed’s name.
American West
Ranchers refined the breed for intelligence, endurance, agility, adaptability, and strong herding ability.
Mid-20th Century
Australian Shepherds became widely recognized through rodeos, horse shows, western culture, trick performances, and livestock work.
Today
The breed remains a trusted ranch dog and also thrives as a family companion, performance dog, service dog, therapy dog, and sport dog.
